It Seems the Visible Thong Trend Is Hanging Out for a Minute

As far as controversial trends go, we’ve seen some wild ones—from the ultra-low-rise jeans of the early 2000s to the heeled flip-flops of last year. But one of the most controversial trends of all time is apparently back and just as polarizing as ever. Rising to fame in the early 2000s and then making an under-the-radar comeback in the last few years, the trend you never thought you’d see again is here: the visible thong.

That’s right, visible thongs are making a quiet comeback. What was once a favorite of early-2000s pop stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera is popping up on today’s coolest fashion people like Jennifer Lopez and Emily Ratajkowski...

The Chicest Over-50 Women Told Me the Fashion Mistakes They’ll Never Repeat

Regardless of what year you came into this world, we can all learn a thing or two about style from our wiser fashion counterparts. These are the women who have lived to see generations worth of trends come and go and have spent the better half of a lifetime honing in on what they can now claim as a strong sense of personal style. Since this group of women offers a wealth of knowledge, I was curious to know what kind of style lessons they can teach the rest of us.

I spoke with a handful of the many chic older women I’ve taken to following on Instagram for style inspiration. Grece Ghanem is a 54-year-old from Montréal with a penchant for print-mixing and “old Céline.” Lyn Slater, otherwise known as Accidental Icon, is a 65-year-old from New York whose career took off when she started blog...

5 Tips for Wearing Thong Swimwear in Real Life

Anyone who’s brave enough to take on the thong swimwear trend that emerged last summer has my admiration. Thong swimwear first came onto the fashion scene in the ’80s, but over the course of the last year, it’s become a common style that you’ll see on just about every beach, TV show (watch two seconds of Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club and you’ll see what I mean), and Instagram feed. Why?

“Thong swimwear has always been popular in markets such as Brazil, Colombia, and Italy,” explains Lily Russo, co-founder and creative director at Beach Flamingo. “They’re countries where people spend the most time on the beach, so for many women, getting the least tan lines is top on their list...

It’s official: Anthropologie now has its very own plus-size category, and it’s every bit as good as you’d hope it to be. 3 New Trends From the Copenhagen Brand Everyone Wants to Wear

Cecilie Bahnsen‘s signature cloudlike dresses have made her the darling of Copenhagen Fashion Week, an increasingly important part of the fashion calendar, so I was more than a little excited to see her creations up close and personal. As flurries of snow began to fall outside, Bahnsen presented her F/W 19 collection to the tune of hauntingly beautiful music by Danish electronic composer Trentemøller, which perfectly matched the brooding yet charming clothes coming down the runway.

“We do not aim to reinvent ourselves each season,” Bahnsen told Who What Wear during Copenhagen Fashion Week. “Each season we refine and evolve the silhouettes, details, and fabric to fit perfectly with the season’s mood.” For F/W 19, that mood is a bit edgier than before...

Surprise: This Could Soon Become the Biggest Clothing Retailer in the World

What’s your go-to destination for shopping for clothes online? Well, if Amazon is in your regular rotation, you’re onto something. Shoppers spent a collective $5.5 billion on clothes on the retail site last year. While you might associate the mega retailer with tech, books, toiletries, and everyday necessities, WWD reports that Amazon’s apparel section is growing by leaps and bounds.

WWD tapped a research company called One Click Retail to analyze Amazon’s sales, and it came up with a fascinating prediction. WWD explains, “If [Amazon] continues to grow at its current rate, One Click said it’s ‘likely to become the largest clothing seller in the U.S. by the end of 2018.’ That title is held by Macy’s Inc.”

Plus, WWD explains that T-shirts, jeans, and underwear were the most popular categ...

These Are the 9 Worst Things to Drive In

What talk a lot about what to wear and what not to wear in certain situations (i.e. to the airport and the office), but it’s high time we delve further into an oft-skipped-over activity that we spend a lot of time doing: driving. When you’re strapped in behind the wheel, your movement is already restricted, and you need to allow yourself as much movement as possible in order to react quickly. The last thing we all need is our clothing and accessories hindering us. Which brings me to the subject of what not to wear when driving.

Personally speaking, I’ve been driving for 18 years. That’s a lot of time for driving wardrobe mistakes to happen...

How 12 Under-$200 Mango Picks Look in Real Life

As someone who is not a model (I’m 5’4″ on a really good day), I sometimes find it difficult to imagine how my online purchases will actually look IRL. I’m also not necessarily trying to become a regular at the post office anytime soon, so to avoid as many returns as possible, I scroll through Instagram to see how pieces fit other women before buying. Sidenote: This is also a really great way to get outfit inspiration.

One of my favorite brands to shop online is Mango, and I frequent #MangoGirls on Instagram more often than I’d like to admit (for other brands, I just check their tagged photos). There are hundreds of new posts a day, so chances are I can source at least one or two images of any new item I’m considering buying...
