2 Days in New York City: The Ultimate New York Itinerary

New York! The city that never sleeps. We have visited New York City many times, and still feel we’ve barely scratched the surface of what this incredible city has to offer.

Still, there are many sights in New York City that are a must-visit, especially if this is a first time visit, or if you want to spend a couple of days seeing the highlights of the city.

With that in mind, we’ve put together this itinerary for 2 days in New York. It focuses primarily on what we feel are some of the top attractions in the city, favourites that we’ve visited multiple times across many visits.

Obviously, with only 2 days in New York, there is only so much you can see and do...

My Night at the Museum: The 21c Museum Hotel in Oklahoma City

I love great hotels and it’s a segment of the travel industry that I pay a lot of attention to. So when a few years ago a new player in the industry popped onto my radar, I was immediately intrigued. Although we’ve seen in recent years a growing trend of so-called boutique lifestyle hotels, the fine folks behind the 21c brand weren’t just early adopters, they well and truly paved the way for others to follow. With all of this in mind it was with no shortage of excitement that I finally had the opportunity to patronize one of their properties when I spent some time in Oklahoma City.

What is 21c

Since at least the Great Recession, there has been a revitalization of lost or nearly lost neighborhoods and communities in cities of all sizes around the world...

11 Best Things To Do In Atlantic Canada

From the beautiful spots in Alberta, the vibrant city of Vancouver and the beautiful spots in Ontario; there is so much to see across Canada. That being said, there’s one area of Canada that’s sometimes overlooked in lieu of its more-known spots, and that’s Atlantic Canada. You see, there is so much to do on the east coast of Canada, especially with all the things to do in Atlantic Canada.

This is exactly why I wanted to pop over some of our favourite spots to explore whilst you’re on the east coast of Canada. After all, it’s still a hugely vast area and you’d need months (if not years) to even dream of seeing it all.

With this in mind, I wanted to share some of the spots we explored during our recent trips to Canada.

My Perfect Day in Key West in 4 Acts

There are strange holes in my travel resume; spots I just haven’t visited for a variety of reasons. Until a few months ago, Key West was on that list, and I couldn’t wait to finally travel to this remote American outpost on the edge of the country. My visit to the Florida Keys was part of a project with Marriott, the Americas to highlight some amazing places around the country, including the always-interesting community of Key West.

Key West Florida

Where to Stay

What helped set the tone for my brief stay in Key West was my very quirky but also very luxurious boutique hotel, The Saint. Part of the Autograph Collection of hotels the distinctive mix of design and decadence matches its central Key West location with ease...

The Ups and Downs of Visiting Walt Disney World As A Solo Adult

Walt Disney World Florida

It seems strange for me to think about but, until just a couple of years ago, I had never before visited a Disney Park. After my first trip to Disneyland in Anaheim though I was hooked and it has since become an important part of my travel life. Some will poo-poo it, but that’s their issue not mine. I love visiting Disney Parks for many reasons, but at its core the experience is pure and innocent fun, the likes of which is all too rare to find. Even though I had visited Disneyland several times in rapid succession, the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida eluded me, until a few months ago when I finally had the opportunity to visit. Although very different from Disneyland, Walt Disney World is also a lot of fun to visit as a solo adult...

Compelling Hawaiian-inspired dining in Oahu

Oahu, the gathering spot of the Hawaiian Islands, has become the center point of exceptional dining experiences. While most people who visit Hawaii might want the cultural experience of a Luau, the fusion of cooking styles and cuisines make this a one of a kind destination. Expect dishes where Hawaiian culture meets international influence. And with the number of visitors, restaurants are incredibly competitive with you being the dinning winner.

Life’s A Beach Wine Festival

Hawaii has roving wine and food festivals that span almost six months on the various islands. With a sunset view, the Life’s A Beach combines a variety of wines and dishes (dense on the meat and fish ingredients), into an evening, which is a total event with on the water entertainment and fireworks...
